7th Pay Commission Latest News Today 2019: The Tamil Nadu government has given its employees a big gift. Before the start of the festive season, the government has doubled the festival advance. The government has increased it from Rs. 5000 to Rs 10,000. This increase is effective from August 2.
According to the notification of the Government of Tamil Nadu, the government has enhanced the festival advance of government employees, teachers and all other non-teaching staff, aided educational institutions from Rs 5000 to Rs 10,000.
The issuers have not changed the procedure for getting festival advance. Employees will get advance as per the old system only. The government had earlier raised the Festive Advance 2000 to Rs. 5000 in 2012.
The government provides convenience to its employees, advance salary or festival advance. The employee can adjust it in monthly salary at his convenience.
“The Government after careful consideration, direct that the Festival Advance payable to the Government employees, Teachers, Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff of the local bodies, aided educational institutions and the employees who are eligible to draw the Festival Advance be enhanced from Rs 5000/- to Rs 10,000/- (Rupees Ten thousand only). There shall be no change in the existing procedure for sanction and recovery of Festival Advance,” the notification said.
Employees in Tamil Nadu are getting 7th Pay Commission from 2017. This has increased the salary of the employees by 20%. There are about 10 lakh government employees and pensioners in the state. With this effect, the salary of the employees has increased from Rs. 6100 to Rs. 15,700.
