Vacant Posts in Central Government Departments

The Minister said that the details of the number of posts sanctioned, filled and vacant of RegularCivilian Employees in Central Government & Union Territory Administrations as per the ‘Brochure on Pay and Allowances of Central Government Civilian Employees for 2009-2010, 2010-2011 and 2011-12 brought out by the Ministry of Finance (Department of Expenditure), as on 1st March of the relevant year are as under:

The Ministries/Departments are required to fill the vacancies as per Recruitment Rules and extant guidelines. This Department issues instructions from time to time to all Ministries/Departments to fill up the vacant posts on timely basis. The data in this regard is not centrally maintained.
