RATES OF OUR TRANSPORT ALLOWANCE, IF 7TH PAY COMMISSION IS IMPLEMENTED TODAY
WHY GOV EMPLOYEES SHOULD NOT BE GIVEN INTERIM RELIEF ?
We have started a new series “If 7th Pay Commission is implemented today”. In that series we had already shown on 12.04.2014 (click here to know your scales if 7th Pay commission is implemented today), how much our pay scales have been eroded due to inflation since the implementation of 6th Pay Commission.
In that series today on 14.04.2014, we have tried to put the focus on our Transport Allowance. 6th Pay Commission had recommended transport allowance and made it inflation proof by introducing the DA factor with Transport Allowance.
But 6th Pay Commission didn’t give emphasis on International influences on the Prices of Petrol and Diesel. Petrol/Diesel Prices are more influenced by international market than local factors. Our Transport Allowance also depends on International Market prices of Petrol and Diesel.
Therefore Base Value of our Transport Allowance is required to be reviewed.
In the following comparative table we have shown how much Transport Allowance we are getting today and how much Transport Allowance We should get if 7th Pay Commission is implemented today.
|Employees Drawing grade pay of (Rs.)||Present Rates of Transport Allowances per Month||If 7th Pay Commission implemented on 14.04.2014 Rate of Transport Allowances per month|
|A1-/A Class City
|5400 & Above and posts in the apex scale and Cabinet Secy/Equivalent||Rs. 3200 + DA thereon||Rs. 1600 + DA thereon||Rs. 5160 + DA there on||Rs. 2580 + DA thereon|
|4200 to 4800||Rs. 1600 +
|Rs. 800 + DA thereon||Rs. 2580 + DA there on||Rs. 1290 + DA there on|
|Below 4200||Rs. 400 + DA there on||Rs. 300 + DA thereon||Rs. 650 + DA thereon||Rs. 490 + DA thereon|
* Our Calculations are based on AICPIN and International Petrol Diesel Prices variations since 01.01.2006.
Friends, you can see the difference in both values, since 7th Pay Commission is almost 2 Years away therefore We have a fit case to get Interim Relief. GovEmployees.in requests Government of India to Announce Interim Relief as soon as possible because employees are facing huge financial crunch.
